Great Streets Mountain View is a grassroots urban planning campaign spearheaded by people who live in Mountain View, California with the goal of people friendly streets that are safe, accessible to all, and beautiful public spaces
Despite the large concentration of services, shops, parks and residents in the area, our streets are overwhelmingly dedicated to moving cars at high speeds which stresses people out, leads to injury, and occasionally death. Moreover, streets are the neighborhood’s greatest accumulation of publicly-owned space, and present a tremendous opportunity to invest in an asset that touches every person who lives in the area.
We can do better, but we need your help! Please check out our Vision page for more detailed information on the project, and subscribe to our e-mail newsletter.
